I landed my first magazine job purely by accident whilst I was at uni, and haven’t looked back since. Whether I’m dealing with hectic deadlines, back to back meetings, proof reading like crazy or sending my hundredth email of the day, I honestly love every single second and couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. Plus working at CLEO means that quite literally, I get paid to read a magazine all day. How can you not love that?

Most of the time I get an eye roll when I say I love
The Hills. Sure it’s trashy reality TV, but by golly is it addictive. I remember texting a friend throughout the third season finale and dissecting the entire thing – no other show has inspired that much devotion in me.
Laugh at me all you like but I’ve watched season after season, and the drama (and is it just me but Lauren Conrad’s dress sense?) just get better with time.
So, I’m beyond devastated to hear that the upcoming season would be Lauren’s last. What am I going to do without her constant boy debacles/bitch fights/friend betrayals? Not to mention Audrina Partridge’s constant vacant stare (seriously, I can almost see tumbleweed go by when she’s on camera) and the mere existence of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt to mock incessantly.
Apparently the producers are considering continuing the show, but with a different narrator (God help us if they decide it’s Audrina), but I just don’t think it’ll have the same magic without Lauren.
After five years, it’s going to be sad to say goodbye. Guess I’ll just have to cross my fingers she makes an appearance on gal pal Whitney Port’s show…
