Work experience at CLEO confirmed my obsession with mags and, as fate would have it, I landed a job here a few years later. After a year, I moved to madison, working in the features department for over three years before re-joining the CLEO team. No day is the same – I could be pitching story ideas, researching, interviewing or writing. Add to this endless talk about Gossip Girl, a seemingly never-ending cupcake supply, and a bunch of cool colleagues and you have yourself one happy girl.

Not much, you'd think, but then again you're probably not named after a day of the week. Let's spare a thought for Kidman/Urban junior, little Sunday Rose, who entered the world on ... no, not Sunday, but Monday.
Unless she surrounds herself with friends with equally unusual names, like, say, fellow Hollywood offspring Apple, Shiloh and Honor, our youngest Aussie celebrity may feel a little left out once she starts school and discovers that none of the kids in her class are called Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday (or any other day — you get the drift).
Features ed Sarah and I were discussing the name choice this morning and while the comments above might indicate I'm not a fan, I must admit I actually don't mind it. I've even shortened it. "Sunny Urban" has a nice, rock-star ring to it, don't you think?
And c'mon, Nic and Keith would have offended fellow A-listers if they'd gone against the trend that is unusual names and called her Jane, Karen or Anne (no offence to any Janes, Karens or Annes out there). Besides, Sunday is much cuter than Wednesday — as in Wednesday Addams — which did cause some confusion when debating the name's origin. "Has Nic named her baby after that chick in The Addams Family?"
But news surfaced yesterday that the name was inspired by the muse of Australian artist Sidney Nolan, a woman called Sunday Reed. And assuming that Sunday Rose grows up to choose a career in the arts just like her famous parents, I reckon it's a name that fits perfectly — like Sunday Rose Kidman Urban the ballerina or Sunday Rose Kidman Urban the artist.

And, well, if that doesn't happen, I hope she grows into her name anyway. I think she will. What are your thoughts?
