CLEO Twilight Competition

Terms and Conditions

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. The promotion is open to all residents of Australia aged 16 years and over. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.

2. Promotion commences November 17, 2008 and closes last mail received December 8, 2008. The competition will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter. The judging will take place at the Promoter’s premises and will begin on December 9, 2008. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winners will be contacted by phone and mail using the contact details provided in their entry. This is a game of skill, chance plays no part in determining the winners. Each entry will be individually judged based on literary, creative merit and originality.

3. To enter, simply visit www.cleo.com.au and follow the prompts to enter the Twilight promotion. Tell us, in 25 words or less, “What you love most about the Twilight series?” You will also need to include your full name, valid email and current mailing address. Submit your completed entry as instructed. The Promoter will not be responsible for any late, misdirected entries, or incomplete or incorrect entrant contact details. Incomplete, illegible, incorrect and incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid and will not be included in the judging.

4. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

5. Multiple entries accepted but each entry must be submitted separately and must be unique.

6. The best 10 valid entries, as determined by the judges, will each win a Twilight Pack valued at $79.90. Each pack includes a double in-season pass to the Twilight Film valued at $30, a copy of the Twilight Book valued at $24.95 and a copy of the Twilight Soundtrack valued at $24.95.

7. Total prize pool is valued at $799.00 Prizes are non exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. Prizes do not include any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize; these are the responsibility of the winner.

8. Prize values are the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and are correct at time of printing. All prize values are in Australian dollars. Prize must be taken as stipulated by the Promoter.

9. Winners will be notified by mail using contact details provided in their entry.

10. The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this competition are governed by the Privacy Notice (see Contents Page of CLEO magazine for location in each issue).

11. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to reference to all relevant state and territory regulations), to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.

12. In the event that a portion of the prize is awarded to the winner in the form of a voucher / ticket / pass, redemption of that portion of the prize will be subject to the terms and conditions stipulated on the voucher / ticket / pass. The Promoter will not be liable for any voucher / ticket / pass that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way.

13. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged, or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these conditions of entry; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; (f) redemption of a prize and/or participation in the promotion.

14.  If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of entries.
15. By entering the competition, the entrant consents to receipt of any email regarding the competition, and other emails which inform the entrant of the Promoter’s other publications, products, services and events and to promote third party goods and services it may be interested in.
