Hi. My name is Jo and I worked in a button factory the other day… OK – I didn’t really. BUT when I was in school, my friends sang this song to me and I think the button/fashion thing seeped into my subconscious, because all I wanted was to work at a magazine! Two degrees and a year frolicking overseas later and I was ready to start my dream. After dabbling on the web and trying my luck as a stylist, I’m now settled as lifestyle editor – a job that keeps me entertained, fulfilled and more importantly, happy!

The Young Variety children’s’ charity is relaunching its hugely popular Op Shop Ball on Saturday the 25th of July from 7pm – 11.30pm.

Your fancy pants designer frocks will have to hang tight in the cupboard but don’t panic this is not the end of style as we know it, you are invited to piece together your most glamorous Op Shop outfits.

So get creative and get ready to rub shoulders with celebrities as you sip on cocktails and admire the amazing city views on the 17th floor of The Residence, Hyde Park.

Tix are $120 each, prices include canapés and all drinks. For an extra $20 you can live large and enjoy the stylish VIP sunset cocktail hour from 6pm-7pm.
