"It has been fantastic for us and fantastic for her, but they take more and more time and she cannot do this full-time anymore because she has other commitments," Sir Phil ip Green, Topshop's owner said in a media release.
Those other commitments include designing a handbag collection for Longchamp, starring on her 30th cover of British Vogue and modelling for Balenciaga this season.
Unsubstantiated rumours reported by the UK's Daily Mail have Kate making room for Green's 19-year-old daughter Chloe to come on board to design her own namesake collection for Topshop causing a rift between the once-cosy front-row trio. At one point Sir Philip even went as far as saying he had "two daughters".
"Hopefully, one day I might design a 'Chloe Green at Topshop' range," the teenager, who is due to start training at the company's London Oxford Circus headquarters in a few weeks, told the UK's Sunday Times last year.
"I've not really thought it through yet. But I don't think it's asking too much."
We don't think so either, when daddy's a billionaire.
