Fair-skinned peeps rejoice! Your albino leader is here to speak. Yes, it’s true. I am one very pale lady. One part iron deficiency, to two parts sun paranoia (tanned now, leather bag look-alike when I’m forty, I’ll pass thanks!) is pretty much the sum of my paleness.
As the Photo Editor here at CLEO I spend countless hours trawling through photo agency sites selecting celebrity and model shots that will make it in to the mag. Everyday I see the most beautiful people in the world looking, well beautiful.
Yes the majority of the time they’re done up by a power team of stylists, hair and makeup artists, but even when they’re not, well damn, it’s enough to make a mere mortal like myself sob into her afternoon cuppa.
So maybe this is the reason why I did a little happy dance when I came across these photos:
Now I’m not an expert on fake tanning by any means (I go streaky just by looking at a bottle of the stuff), but surely it’s Fake Tanning 101 to take your socks off before you apply? Or in Victoria’s case, blend!
I’ll take milky white skin over this attempt of generic orange-ness any day!
