Have you ever worried your dream holiday might be spoiled by the rain? Well, a number of travel agencies are now offering "sunshine insurance" to those travelling to France.
Nothing ruins an otherwise perfect holiday quite like bad weather (except for maybe food poisoning).
Short of your prayers to Apollo and the rain gods coming through, there's no guarantee that your dream holiday will take place during stretches of glorious sunshine.
At least now you can claim some sort of compensation if rain does spoil your holiday in France.
According to Reuters, a number of French travel agencies have recently launched insurance cover against bad weather.
The policy, adopted by Pierre et Vacances and FranceLoc, will let travellers claim back as much as €400 ($720) if they suffer at least four days of rain in a week.
Holidaymakers will receive automatic reimbursement for part of their stay "if weather conditions don't meet expectations".
The travel group will use satellite photos from the French weather bureau to calculate how much money the insured parties will receive and a cheque will be posted to the unlucky travellers once they return home.
