Once upon a time I left the comforts of frosty Melbourne in favour of greener pastures and glossy pages, with little more than my boyfriend in my pocket and a vintage trunk in the boot. I found sanctuary in the Sydney ghetto and settled into the mag trade. As Photo Editor and Features Assistant, I search for shots for the pages, while writing, interviewing, researching and brainstorming my way to wine o'clock. Big hair, beauty halls, clashing prints and anything mass-produced are a few of my fave things.

I don’t wear reading glasses. Mum bashed the idea out of me several years ago after I begged her to take me en route to OPSM for no good reason but Chanel. Since then, my two brothers, the boyfriend and even mum herself have fallen pray to thick-rimmed specs. Each time I receive this news, I glare at my loved ones in the same way Lindsay Lohan must view mama Lo when she catches her parading around on E. Sheer disbelief and confusion overwhelm me and my flawless vision, for there is no medical reason for Clark Kent goggles right here. The below folk wear frames in much the same way I’d enjoy. Stylin, right? But the question remains, does it matter if one doesn’t technically need reading glasses but one goes ahead and wears them anyway? Do tell if I’m creating a four-eyed faux pas.
