I find the idea of receiving a $900 stimulus package from the government an overwhelming prospect.
Let’s just say that ordinarily I shop, well, a lot – but there is often some form of hesitation now that there is an economic crisis on our hands.
But let me stress that I meant ‘hesitation’ not ‘restriction’. I still spend way too much on clothes but now I have an opportunity for absolute guilt-free splurging.
While I feel that as a shopaholic, spending this “free money” was easy, friends of mine with different priorities such as travel plans, mortgages and savings plans have decided to put it away in savings accounts for future use.
I won’t get all political on you but given that the economic stimulus package is supposed to save 90,000 jobs, I feel I should therefore urge you to SPEND your $900 “responsibly”.
Spend it on something you never knew you wanted and treat yourself. I put mine into an Australian label to encourage our local economy. So do the right thing and go and buy yourself something nice. Don’t save your stimulus money!
