Although newly part of the Cleo team, I am no stranger to the magazine world. Whilst studying history by day and fashion by night, I've interned at Shop til you drop, Grazia and Cleo. It's an exciting industry to be part of and after lots of hard work, the kind girls here offered me a job. There was a serious amount of anticipation before the Ellery show and a major front row lineup including Miranda Otto, Jennifer Hawkins, Ruby Rose and Lara Bingle.

The circular venue was the stage for modern day space age disco fever. There was glitter and flared bottom pants as far as the eye could see -- Ziggy Stardust eat your heart out.

In addition, there were stunning glittered jackets and knee-high boots with feather strips and of course the veiled black gown.

The collection was the first to show something really different to everybody else. Designer Kym Ellery stands strongly as a driving force in the Australian industry as her inspiration and conceptual outlook is unique and more extreme than most.

She cleverly remains totally wearable despite this and this is why the mob was banging on the door before her show.
