Nearly 50 percent of women do not like being completely naked while in bed with their partners, according to a survey conducted by MyCelebrityFashion.co.uk.

It comes as no surprise that many of us may feel self-conscious about being naked, but a new survey reveals that as many as one in two women prefer to be semi-clothed in the sack, and a whopping 87 percent prefer to have sex with the lights off.

Our preference may prove to be at odds with our partner's, with only 36 percent of men admitting they would like their partners to keep on an item of clothing, and six out of 10 prefer to keep the lights on.

For those who wonder exactly what items of clothing we like to keep on, 60 percent like to wear a sexy negligee during sex, 40 percent want their heels on, 36 percent would like to keep their dress on, and another 31 percent feel sexier with their knickers on.

It’s great to know that clothing can really boost a woman’s confidence, but perhaps it’s time we appreciate the beauty of our naked bodies the way men obviously do!
