Question:
I went out with this guy for a short time a year ago, things were going great but then he dumped me and it ended badly, he told me that he never wanted to speak to me again but I can't seem to get over him. I feel like I'm just not interested in any other guy but I can't speak to my ex either so I feel totally stuck. What should I do? from Sarah
Answer:
That seems very extreme after a short relationship. Even if he lost interest, why the need to say he'd never speak to you again?
Did you resist breaking up or were there bad arguments leading up to the split?
It's a shame when break-ups are nasty and it takes a while to heal from them but after a year, I don't think he's coming back, do you?
It's only by letting go in your own mind that you can be free to move into a happier future and hopefully meet someone terrific. Not all relationships have to end in pain.
