Would you ever consider signing up for a fourth Bourne movie?

It depends where the story would go. No one ever rushed to make a third one just because the others had been successful - they waited until they had a story. What people appreciate about these films is that we don’t fall into the conventional traps that most action films do. After Franka Potente’s character was killed at the start of the second film, audiences wanted Bourne to get another love interest but instead of just immediately replacing her, we tried to do something a little bit more unpredictable with my character.

Does Jason Bourne have qualities you would appreciate in a guy in real life?

I like that he has a conscience - he’s not your typical action hero in that sense because most assassins are hit men who have no concern about the crimes they commit. Jason struggles with the guilt he feels about what he has done.

And what about Matt?

It’s awkward to answer this question because I know his wife (laughs) but he is a great guy. He’s a terrific actor, very hard working, and a very dedicated family man. I have a lot of respect for him.
