Ryan Gosling could be moving to Australia

It’s time to dust off those binoculars you bought when Leonardo DiCaprio was in town filming The Great Gatsby (or was that just us?) because Ryan Gosling could be moving to Australia.

The 31-year-old actor (and crush of almost every woman on the planet) is rumoured to be in talks to star in upcoming big budget Australian film Dust And Glory, according to IF Films.

If successful Gosling would have to relocate to Australia for the filming, which according to the production’s website is scheduled for 2012.

Dust And Glory is based on the legendary 1953 Redex Trials car race, where drivers raced around Australia in often difficult and dramatic conditions.

Ryan’s resume pits him as the ideal person for the role. He received a string of award nominations for his part in 2011 movie Drive in which he played a stunt driver who moonlighted as a getaway car driver, and he also plays a motorcycle stunt man in The Place Beyond The Pines (due for release this year).

But is his previous stunt man experience enough to land him the role? We hope so. We really, really hope so. Positive visualisation, everyone!
