Blake and Ryan not legally married at wedding

They said ‘I do’ during a private ceremony in the small town of Charleston, South Carolina in the US, but Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds didn’t make their marriage official until days after the wedding.

PEOPLE magazine has revealed that Blake, 25, and Ryan, 35, didn’t become legally married until the 14th of September – five days after their 9th of September nuptials.

It seems the couple got caught up in pulling off their secret, paparazzi-free big day and neglected to apply for a marriage licence until the 13th of September, according to paperwork filed at the marriage license division at the probate court in Charleston, S.C.

Since the law requires a 24-hour delay between an application for a $70 marriage licence and that licence being approved, Lively and Reynolds’ anniversary technically should be the 14th of September.

But why let a minor detail get in the way of romance, right?
