Blake Lively wears comfy flats on Gossip Girl set, is human

Blake Lively has one of the most enviable wardrobes in television as Serena van der Woodsen on <i>Gossip Girl</i>, but apparently wearing six-inch heels for 12 hours a day is still really, really painful no matter how expensive they are.

In some fresh paparazzi pics straight from the New York Gossip Girl set, Blake is seen towering over co-star Chace Crawford in strappy stilettos and a plunging cobalt blue dress one minute … and rocking around in comfortable-looking loafers the next!

Standing in those instruments of torture all day long would be agonising, so we can see why Lively swapped her footwear for something more sensible between takes.

It’s good to know even the world’s most glamorous stars probably have a pair of grubby ballet flats rolled up in their handbags. We’re all human, you know?

The Gossip Girl cast have been on the streets of Manhattan filming the sixth and final season of the show. Eek! What are we going to do without it? Er, watch the re-runs, of course!

Meanwhile, Blake is currently the envy of every heterosexual woman in the world as her relationship with actor Ryan Reynolds heats up.

This week there were reports the two had tied the knot in secret, but it turns out the rumour spawned from a mistake made by a police officer who referred to Blake as Ryan’s ‘wife’ on a police report Reynolds filed about a paparazzi loitering outside his house, according to Hollywoodlife.com.
