Watch Katy Perry singing before she was famous

CLEO is proud to present an exclusive sneak preview of Katy Perry's upcoming documentary film Part of Me!

In the clip we see an 18-year-old Katy Perry before she was famous, talking about how her talent was first discovered.

It also includes footage of Katy aged about 15, singing a gospel song in church.

Katy talks about her religious upbringing, and how at first her parents struggled to accept her identity.

"It was really tough because the only kind of music I was allowed to listen to was Christian Music," she remembers.

"I think it took a little bit of time for my parents to adjust when I stopped singing gospel music."

Part of Me hits Australian cinemas Monday July 2.
