Ryan Gosling surprises students at graduation ceremony

Eva Mendes, Ryan’s lady-love, was also there with him … but that’s enough about her. Back to the Gosling.

The 31-year-old Crazy, Stupid Love actor was there to see his mum Donna receive her degree. Ryan and Eva (fine, we’ll acknowledge her … reluctantly) sat near the back of the room whispering to each other, local paper the St. Catharines Standard reported.

When it was Ryan’s mum’s turn to accept her diploma, apparently Ryan jumped up and applauded fiercely, as well as taking a few photos.

Word quickly spread via Twitter that Gosling and Mendes were in the house, but when hunted down by the Standard, Ryan only said, “This is my mum’s day.” He didn’t want to take away attention from Donna, or the other graduating students.

Awwww, Gosling! You’ve melted our hearts yet again.

One sneaky audience member managed to snap the above photo of Ryan and Eva and posted it on Instagram. Twitter user Christina Dunn wasn’t so lucky:

"Ridiculous...I thought I saw Ryan Gosling yesterday and was like nahhhhhh, and now to find out he WAS here! Gah. #neverknow."

The lesson? If you think you see Ryan Gosling, don’t dismiss it. You just #neverknow.
