Are Michelle Williams and Jason Segal dating?

An eagle-eyed source has revealed to a reliable US gossip blog that Michelle Williams and Jason Segel were getting their date on in LA last week.

Williams and the How I Met Your Mother funnyman were spotted at iconic celebrity hot spot the Chateau Marmont hotel, the source told Lainey gossip.com.

"At first they were there with [actress] Busy Phillips. Busy left early. Michelle and Jason stayed on their own for a few hours after," according to the report.

Thirty-one-year-old Williams, who was recently nominated for an Oscar for her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in My Week with Marilyn, stayed out with 32-year-old Segal, who "made her laugh a lot" as they "drank several glasses of wine".

According to the source, Jason picked up the bill and the two left together at around 1.30am after he convinced her it wasn't too late, and she shouldn't go home.

Michelle is mother to six-year-old daughter Matilda Rose Ledger, who she had with Heath Ledger before he sadly passed away of an accidental drug overdose in January 2008.
