Forget spending hours at the gym to get the perfect bikini body -- Spanx is set to work its magic on the beach.

Good news for those who are sick of browsing through rows and rows of unflattering bikinis.

Spanx, the maker of body-shaping undergarments, is set to break into the swimwear market by launching a series of cute and slimming swimsuits.

Made from nylon and spandex, the stretchy material promises to smooth out any unwanted bumps and curves by clever cutting and "compression liners".

They are on the pricey side of the swimsuit scale though (prices start at $178 for a one-piece), but the thought of not having to feel self-conscious on the beach is almost priceless.

Definitely one to add to our beach wardrobe!
