A recent poll conducted by Superdrug, Britain’s second largest health and beauty chain, has revealed that one in ten women surveyed met their soul mate while wearing the classic scent, Chanel No5.
According to the poll of 3000 women, the perfume has been proven the most effective when it comes to luring in potential lovers, dates and boyfriends.
So perhaps spending hours slaving away on our hair, make-up and outfit has all be in vain. The answer could simply lie in a few modest pumps of the perfume bottle.
Steve Jebson, Commercial Director of Superdrug told UK's
Daily Mail, “Fragrance has always been recognised as a real mood maker and women use it to add another dimension to their look and create mystique. This research underlines that to the majority of women the right fragrance can make or break their evening out.”
85 per cent of women said they received compliments from men when wearing a perfume, two-thirds claimed that complete strangers said they smell nice and the average women credits her scent to helping her secure at least 6 different dates,
the Daily Mail reported.
