No longer content with taking credit for perfecting the quilted flap, the friendly folks at Chanel are putting pen to paper to publish their own in-house magazine.
Yep, we were initially skeptical of having to hand over our hard-earned dollars for a catalogue masquerading as a mag, but a quick peek at designer Karl Lagerfeld’s literary credentials – he owns a French book shop, has an imprint at a German publishing house and apparently owns a 300,000 books – was just the reassurance we needed.
Designed by the editor of so-hip-it-hurts
Purple Magazine Olivier Zahm, the first issue of
31 Rue Cambon (aptly named after the first Parisian boutique of the iconic brand) will not doubt increase the lemmings on your lust list.
Fingers crossed it will also include a few gratuitous pics of Monsieur Lagerfeld’s new muse, Baptiste Giabiconi!
Check out Zahm's
Purple Diary for more details.
